QA Automation Meets I 4.0

Consistent automation of all measuring, test and inspection steps is imperative for partially, semi or highly automated production. Manually or automatically fed stand-alone inspection stations or inline measuring and test modules are in the meantime every bit as common as handling and robot systems. In order to be able to make quick use of QA data and optimise processes where necessary without delay, all QA components beginning with sensors, right on up to camera and vision systems, industrial image processing units, laser measuring technology, coordinate measuring systems and more, have long since been equipped with high levels of network compatibility. Viewed in this way, quality assurance is at the heart of modern Industry 4.0 structures because the acquisition, evaluation and communication of QA data in today’s and tomorrow’s digitalised factory analyse and control all sequences.
