32nd Control – International trade fair
for quality assurance
24.–27. APRIL 2018 STUTTGART

31st Control registers high booking volumes and growth in space

Control 2017 with new presentation layout

With the continual further development of the infrastructure plus the progressive expansion of the Landesmesse Stuttgart, new prospects have opened up for Control – International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance. In future, the world’s leading fair Control will occupy halls 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, producing a block-like presentation layout with noticeably better guidance of visitor flows. Furthermore, trade visitors will have the possibility to move between the hall lines with odd and even numbers, without detours and thus quicker and above all “under cover”. Including visit planning via the mobile website (http://m.control-messe.de/de/control/), routes and thus in the final analysis information procurement can be optimised.

Practised very successfully for the first time at Motek 2015, visitors no longer need to go the long way from the beginning to the end of the hall line with odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7 and 9). Furthermore, the new hall partitioning also offers advantages for many exhibitors, who had often complained about capacity problems previously. This was because the MEGA Hall 1 at the east entrance literally sucked in very large volumes of visitors in the mornings and the following halls were only attended with a time delay. In future, both the main entrance EAST and WEST will be on a par, evening out both the morning run on parking spaces and the visitor rush into the halls.

“These and other innovations have been very positively received by manufacturers and providers in the QA sector, leading to a boom in enquiries and bookings of larger exhibition space of an unexpected amount,” says Gitta Schlaak, Project Manager of Control for many years. Currently, more than 80% of the exhibitors at the last Control 2016 have registered, where an extraordinarily high number of foreign exhibitors has been posted. Similarly, strong growth has also been registered for the large segment industrial image processing and vision systems, with which the significance of “the” information, communications and business platform for industrial image processing and vision systems has grown further.

A further indication for the great appreciation of Control – International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance, as the world’s most important trade event for the QA sector and its users, is the strong interest in existing and above all new cooperation partners shown regarding the shaping of the supporting programme. Thus alongside the familiar forums, special shows and theme parks, a QA congress is being planned for Control 2017. There will be further information about this congress’s target groups, contents and duration soon.
