Statement from Böhme & Weihs on the Control Expert Days 2025

Jörg von Ploetz, CEO, Böhme & Weihs Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG

‘Control remains the world’s leading trade fair for quality assurance – and quality has become a decisive factor for competitiveness and success. In industrial manufacturing, it has long since meant more than just complying with standards: it’s about understanding processes, utilising data and making knowledge available.

That’s why we don’t develop quality management simply as an isolated discipline, but rather as part of an interconnected whole. We combine quality management (CAQ), production control (MES) and energy monitoring within a central control system for the digital shop floor. And thus quality becomes an active driver for efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness.

Artificial intelligence and sustainability represent an integral aspect of our daily operations. Already today, AI-supported assistance systems facilitate root cause analysis and knowledge retention in quality assurance. At the same time, the integration of energy, emissions and production data demonstrates how digital manufacturing is emerging as a driver of sustainable value creation.

The Control Expert Days provide the ideal setting for us to contribute our viewpoints to the discussion and gain new insights from the industry sector: how can quality be rethought in a world of increasingly digitalised manufacturing – in a networked, intelligent and practical way? We‘re eager to see how this outstanding format establishes itself, and we‘re excited to be involved in it.

Quality that Shapes the Future – on a Smart Shop Floor Let’s talk about it!
