Surface finish optimization for advanced manufacturing by optical profiler

Understand positive impact of areal roughness parameters in driving finishing process in manufacturing.

Nowadays manufacturing processes goes beyond simple stamping, molding or CNC machining steps. It includes advanced processes that notably imprint specific texture on surfaces in order to improve its function like lower friction, longer lifetime or aesthetic in often referred finishing step. This webinar illustrates how advanced optical profiler accurately assesses complex surface texture through areal roughness parameters from ISO25178 norm as well as how same profiler can be used to optimize then control quality of finishing step. Practical industrial cases will be shown from standard mechanical part, orthopedic till additive manufacturing with 3D polymer printed surfaces. Q&A session with roughness experts will close event.
