Control 2024 – QA Experts Meet is Eagerly Awaited

Control International trade fair for quality assurance control messe stuttgart uai

The 36th Control will take place in just under seven weeks. Suppliers and users of solutions for the quality of products, processes and services will meet at the international trade fair for quality assurance in Stuttgart from the 23rd through the 26th of April, 2024. The trade fair is one of the most important industry events of the year for QA managers because it covers various types of measuring technology and presents relevant information across all sectors. The range of topics includes technologies from the fields of machine vision, image processing and sensor technology, as well as measuring and test technology. Expert visitors can look forward to top technologies and high levels of internationalism.

Modern quality assurance measures play an important role in tackling production challenges in terms of efficiency, the conservation of resources and sustainability. The goal is to minimise waste, defects and errors in the production process, and to organise processes economically. Numerous safety aspects play a major role as well. In various ways, quality assurance measures help to prevent errors, improve processes and promote environmentally sound practices. Measurement, inspection, monitoring, evaluation and documentation – universal solutions for these tasks are required in all industries and fields of business because more and more data are being collected, analysed, linked and fed back to the systems. For this reason, software and intelligent evaluation algorithms are also playing an increasingly important role at Control.

Expert Visitors from All Sectors Receive Answers to Questions concerning Quality Assurance

Control’s strength is its industry-spanning coverage of systems and solutions for quality assurance. QA managers from all business divisions will find answers to their questions here, in industrial as well as non-industrial sectors. “Measurement, testing, inspection, evaluation, documentation and traceability of a wide range of parameters are becoming increasingly important in all applications. Advances in the fields of data analysis and data management are continuing at a rapid pace,” says project manager Fabian Krüger. That’s why expert visitors at the industry event experience up-to-date, cutting-edge technologies, high levels of expertise, strong internationalism and a pleasant, practice-orientated working atmosphere. Excellent travel connections and the compact event concept promise a highly informative and efficient trade fair visit.
Above all, the fact that measuring and testing are no longer separate processes, but rather take place inline – integrated into the process – has been an important topic for years. In turn, this results in specific requirements for the test equipment – for example in terms of durability and sensitivity. On the whole, developments associated with Industry 4.0 have resulted in integration, networking, automated queries and evaluation. And thus QA is becoming increasingly significant because it’s a key prerequisite for conserving resources, eliminating errors, reducing scrap and for overall efficiency, as well as for reliability and safety – already during the manufacturing process.

This is what makes QA topics so exciting: they’re developing rapidly with a view to the future. And all of this is reflected at Control.

Control 2024 with Booked Out Exhibition Halls in Stuttgart

Control 2024 will once again include its usual nucleus of participants with many well-known exhibitors. This year again, Control will inspire visitors right from day one. High levels of internationalism, highly interested expert visitors and world-class QA technologies – Control is distinguished by quality and relevance. “Halls 8 and 10 will be full,” says project manager Krüger. “Nearly half of the exhibitors come from outside of Germany. Participating companies will once again experience this internationally esteemed industry highlight as a celebration in a superb working atmosphere.”

Special Show and Thematic Forums Provide Expert Visitors with Up-to-Date, Practical Information

Traditionally, the exhibitor forum features interesting presentations on current topics. Fraunhofer’s activities will also be an inspiration for the visitors: Fraunhofer’s Vision business unit will organise its special show on “Contactless Measuring Technology” for the 18th time. The show will feature a cross-section of innovative technologies, applications and system components from the field of contactless measuring and test technology. Interested parties will be provided with advice on suitable technologies depending on their testing tasks. The Fraunhofer IPA Event Forum dealing with AI in production is also highly recommended: Trade fair visitors will receive information on practical AI applications in modern measuring and test technology. An exciting startup area will also be included once again as well in order to expand the fields of measuring technology and quality assurance with new ideas and perspectives from young companies.
“Control is a highlight that everyone looks forward to each and every year, and this will be the case again in just a few weeks,” says Bettina Schall, managing director of trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. “Representatives and expert visitors from all sectors are cordially invited to Control! We’re looking forward to the international meet and to exchanging ideas with the experts, to top technologies and to an interesting and lively Control 2024!”
