The special show for “Contactless Measuring Technology” held by Fraunhofer’s Vision business unit will take place for the 18th time at Control 2024. It will present a broad spectrum of innovative technologies, applications and system components from the field of contactless measuring and test technology on 300 square metres of floor space in Hall 8, and will provide users with initial guidance in selecting the most suitable technology for their own testing tasks. The special show has established itself as an innovations marketplace for trade fair exhibitors and visitors alike.

“Numerous Fraunhofer Institutes are researching and developing in the field of image processing and optical or acoustic testing for quality assurance. At the Control 2024 trade fair stand, which is coordinated by the Fraunhofer Vision business unit, the latest new developments from various fields will once again be on display.

This year, we will be presenting exhibits from the fields of surface inspection, optical 3D metrology, inline measuring and testing, component identification and augmented reality. New developments in the field of non-destructive testing with technologies such as X-ray computed tomography, terahertz and ultrasound will also be on display.

Other topics include acoustic monitoring of production and laser acoustics.

Numerous exhibits work with artificial intelligence or machine learning methods, so you can also get an overview of current trends here.

The Fraunhofer Institutes’ systems and solutions are used in numerous industries such as automotive and automotive suppliers, mechanical and plant engineering, aviation, plastics, semiconductors, but especially in future industries such as battery and fuel cell production or recycling. The areas of robotics, automation technology, process technology and sensor technology are also addressed”, according to the information from the Fraunhofer Vision division.
