Magnetic field measurement in one hand
The new compact magnetic field meter MP-800 by LIST-MAGNETIK for non-destructive testing is appropriate for the measurement of residual magnetism to strong magnetic fields in 100,000-fold strength of the Earth's magnetic field, also suitable for DC fields, alternating fields and pulse fields.
For producers of ball bearings or for steel processing by arc welding the residual magnetism is a special fac-tor. To recognize it in stock receipt or in the production process is crucial for the precision of the final prod-ucts. With the defined distance of 2mm the axial field probe of MP-800 A measures the magnetic field strength on plain surface, on convex curves or bar material.
In the scope of crack detection, a magnetic field is generated mostly by an iron yoke, which flows through the test object. Testing a homogeneous material, the field lines are parallel, the field strength is constant. However, if the measured value differs from the expected constant field strength, a material crack has caused spreads in the magnetic field. Here the tangential field probe of MP-800 T, measuring transversely to the field line, recognizes the damaged area.
All kinds of stray fields in the alternating field range can be measured with MP-800, the frequency ranges from 20 Hz to 10 kHz. MP-800 has a very fast one-built peak memory, which can evaluate pulse fields up from 0.1 milliseconds.
MP-800 is a handy device, with one-hand- and one-button operation, a weight of 100 grams, battery pow-ered and equipped with a high-intensity display. With the Bluetooth wireless interface you transfer the stored readings and statistics to computer or tablet. Navigating the multilingual menu is done by a single button. All common measuring units can be chosen: A / cm, kA / m, Oe, G, mT. Construction shape and ap-pearance is similar to the coating thickness gauge TOP-CHECK, also of LIST-MAGNETIK.
