Fraunhofer Vision is a consortium of specialist departments from several Fraunhofer Institutes that collaborate in the fields of industrial image processing, machine vision, and optical measurement and testing technology.

The members regularly organize technology conferences and seminars, coordinate trade fair appearances, and publish specialist publications.

Special Show »Non-Contact Measurement Technology«

In addition to its own booth, Fraunhofer Vision is organizing the Special Show »Non-Contact Measurement Technology« at the Control trade fair, a joint booth of companies, research institutions, and universities.

In 2025, the Special Show can be seen in Hall 7, Booth 7401.

Seminars with Practical Training

In these two-day in-person seminars with practical training, participants gain an overview of the theoretical principles, procedures, and practical applications of various image processing technologies. They experience systems in practical use at supervised practical stations.

Seminar series are offered on X-ray technology, heat flow thermography, 3D metrology and surface inspection.

Dates 2025

March 26 and 27, 2025 in Jena: Optical 3D Metrology
December 3 and 4, 2025 in Karlsruhe: Inspection and Characterization of Surfaces

Technology Days

The Technology Days consist of short presentations and an accompanying trade exhibition. The aim of the two-day event is to provide interested parties from industry, research, and development across all sectors with an overview of the latest developments, trends, and future prospects in image processing and optical metrology, and to highlight future potential.

Guide Series on Industrial Image Processing

The latest volume, »Guide to Industrial X-ray Technology«, was published at the end of 2024 and provides a realistic overview of the technology's capabilities and highlights relevant applications and areas of use.
